I'm in the process of modifying my computer and I just need to paint the insides with UV reactive paint, do I need any sort of primer before I start?Do I need to prime steel before painting it with acrylic paint?
You will need to prime first with a primer meant for metal.
That said, you may want to rethink painting the inside of your computer tower. It is left bare for the transfer of heat. Unless you have installed extra fans and fans that are high velocity, you are going to build terminal heat in your tower.Do I need to prime steel before painting it with acrylic paint?
You will if you want the paint to stick to the metal
Get a can of gray spray primer from an auto store. That will work.
