Acrylic paints - Why do they come in series?

Why are acyrlic paint sold in series? And the higher the series go, the more expensive it is? Are they better?Acrylic paints - Why do they come in series?
Each company has their own brand series. A series of paints from one company is different from another, that is why is it good to stick to one brand.

Paint comes in different qualities. You really do get what you pay for.

The Higher series of paint,....higher in price

It uses natural pigments. Natural matterials (ground stone, ect.)

Last much longer.

Natural pigments are more pure and brillant.

The lower series of paint,.......lower in price

It uses artifically made pigments. Substitutes (chemicals, ect.)

Fades in sunlight

Colors seem faded and less brillant

Contains more binding agent.

Look more shiny and transparent.

In the end, you really do get what your moneys worth, if you buy the higher series. It is smart to start with the middle series paints becuase they are affordable and half desent.

Once you get well known as an artist,...you may be able to aford a higher series to paint with. You upgrade as you become more sucessful.

Personally, I would never buy the lowest series. Good luck!Acrylic paints - Why do they come in series?
