Can you use acrylic paint on shiny poster board?
the poster board is thick and shiny, got it from Blick's because it was pretty cheap . i'm working on a project for my ap art class and I neeed the projects done by september for school.
will the acrylic paint work on the board.will the paint show up shiny and weird or would the effect be the same as working on anyother type of paper. I want to know before I use it.Can you use acrylic paint on shiny board?
try a sample peice first, then you'll know for sure. But I would think it will work except it might be easily scraped off or can get scratched. You could try gesso a couple layers first. I will tell you though from experience, the paper will warp. good luck!Can you use acrylic paint on shiny board?
really the only problem is it might not stay on after it's dry, you can use a sealer such as gesso, it should look fine
It should be fine. The paint will dry flat (mat) not shiny.
try it on the back?
