If I combine oil and acrylic in a painting, will a person be able to tell?

the difference between the two paints. Do people do this at all, or is this considered mickey mouse painting. If I combine oil and acrylic in a painting, will a person be able to tell?
If your talking about mixing, that won't work. If you are talking about a painting with some portions painted in acrylic and others in oil, most people would probably not be able to tell the difference. This of course depends on your experience in working with these mediums. Artist do this quite often but only to get a desired effect from one medium that they can't get from the other and any other application would qualify as ''mickey mouse'' painting. You will of course need to make it clear that it is a mixed media painting and this would be a total give away.If I combine oil and acrylic in a painting, will a person be able to tell?
If you attempt to mix oil and acrylic paints you will end up with a gooey mess. the oil paint will bead up and they two will never stay mixed, plus it will be very difficult to clean you brushes as turpentine and water do not like each other.

You can paint oil over acrylic(when it's dry) but not vice versa.

Nothing MM about this, a very useful technique in some ways.
I work with oil and acrylic paints and it's a no no to mix the two oil and water don't mix
