I painted a Navity scene with acrylic paint that I want to put on my front lawn during the holidays,?

I need suggestions what to use that will not cause it to run while applying,


and will protect it from the weather when it is displayed

Why not put a coat of polyurethane varnish over it to weatherproof it, or yacht varnish.
