Is getting a four gallon spherical acrylic aquarium a good idea? Why or why not?

Limited room.Is getting a four gallon spherical acrylic aquarium a good idea? Why or why not?
no it is not. honestly, i believe that keeping a fish in under 5 gallons is an excellent way to shorten its life, if not kill it immediatly. even the betta needs at least 5 gallons. you could keep guppies in there, but with such a small water volume, it would be prone to temperture shifts and chemical spikes. i reccomend personally at least a 10g tank.Is getting a four gallon spherical acrylic aquarium a good idea? 1. It's too small. MAYBE one male betta but few people find keeping one lone fish much fun. And it would be impossible to heat.

2. Spherical? Also not good, because the fish will look distorted.

Why not use that as a terrarium and invest in at least a 10 gal tank for fish?
Not for housing most freshwater fish, no. If you're up to doing some research and learning how to care for them, you could TRY keeping a pair of bumblebee gobies and a ghost shrimp with some java moss, but these gobies are brackish and require special care (frequent water changes since this tank is tiny, marine salt for mixing brackish water, live foods).

its a good idea as long as you dont put to many fish in at once, but it might be good just to go up by a gallon, helps them live longer
Compared to a 4 gallon tank, it's much more impractical. Harder to keep clean, harder to landscape and much more annoying.

Get a 4 gallon tank, or even better a 5 gallon and you can keep a betta in there if it has a filter and heater.
i have 2 comet fish in a 3 gall tank they have llasted 1 month so far and look happy ;)
