if so, how did u do it?
and did it hurt?Has anyone ever tried to take acrylic nails off by themselves?
Oh god yes, such a bad experience!
I soaked them in acetone (nail polish remover) like people suggested I do, and it made them gummy, but the minute i took them out of it they hardened again. I tried using tweezers to try to peel them off, most painful experience of my life! My nails looked brutal.
I ended up just calling the salon and having them take them off.
ps. If you get them off at the salon, ask them to just sand them down instead of peeling and soaking them off, its so much better! Your nails look way nicer after. Its worth the money (about $20)Has anyone ever tried to take acrylic nails off by themselves?
The best way to go about it is to go to the local beauty supply (like Sally's) and buy acetone. Pour some in a glass bowl, soak your nails, and every few minutes use a paper towel to wipe off some of the acrylic. Then repeat. This is the healthiest way to take them off.
You can also use a nail clipper, and clip straight down the middle from the top (just a little). Once you clip it the fake nail should split down the middle, then pry off the pieces. This will destroy your nails. I really wouldn't suggest doing this.
Girl, it hurt like a bytch!
Basiclly, i waited about a month from the day i had them done.. so you know how at the end it already starts coming off by itself..?
take a metro card and stick underneath.. push it further untill the nail pops off.
I dont recommend this, but if u trying to save some money and not let them soak it for you at the salon, then you can do this.
iw will hurt like crazy! and really ruin your natural nails.
Also, u can try going to a pharmacy, and they sell the soaking liquid for acryllic nails. But it costs about the same amount that u would pay at a salon; when they do it for u.
soak ur nails in nail polish remover
yes and it hurts, but you just chip them off from the part of ur nail thats growing and then try to cut off the ends with nail clippers.
some nails might have extra acrylic on it, but it grows off. haha
i had a little peice grow off and it took from homecoming (September) all the way to 2 or 3 months ago..lol
GOOD LUCK!!
YESS!!
it hurts alittle bit...
well its basically the pinky that hurts the most!
um i just start biting it off...although another way to take them off %26amp;%26amp; not hurt is dipping your nails into nail polish remover for a while and they'll begin to fall...ive never tried it but they say it works
I have done this so many times...soak them in nail polish remover first...then clip them in the center and you should be able to pull them off piece by piece(it hurts a little)
But soak them in the nail polish remover first!
Good Luck
i used nail polish remover and a nail filer
it kind of hurt...but it didnt hurt so bad.

Yeah, I soaked them in acetone nail polish remover and it took forever and looked like hell. Leave it up to the professionals. Good Luck!
yes. soak them in dishwashing liquid and then try to take them off. It will still make your fingernails look bad for a little while.
Yes, it hurts a whole lot and makes your nails look horrible. I ripped them off.
Yes!! it hurts!! i got mad and riped one off and it hurt like hell! never do it ever!
I always bite them like in the middle so they fold almost? it's easier to take them off that way. So hard to explain lol
